Hotel, Burgenland
Project | Hotel in Burgenland
In the course of a generational change, a family-run hotel in Illmitz was completely redesigned. From the foyer to the wellness area, a timelessly elegant interior concept was created under the direction of Elke Altenberger - tailored to the location, standards and regional identity.
Interior design for a boutique hotel - hotel project in Illmitz, Burgenland
A traditional family hotel in the heart of the Lake Neusiedl National Park was rethought in terms of architecture and design as part of a generational change. The aim was to create an interior concept that combines timeless elegance with functional hotel planning - in harmony with the location, standards and atmosphere.
The hotel - now known as the Hotel Nationalpark in Illmitz - was redesigned in almost all areas: Foyer, reception, bar, library, public zones, wellness and seminar area as well as parts of the guest rooms. The previous traditional furnishings were replaced with modern, durable materials, new furniture, high-quality fabrics and harmonious color concepts.
Particular attention was paid to the spatially differentiated design: depending on the function and use, the interior design varies between classic, elegant and modern-minimalist. The result is a deliberately varied and multi-layered design concept that conveys both tranquillity and individuality - tailored to the needs of the guests and the character of each individual room.
The color scheme, wall coverings and room layout were chosen to create a calm, stylish overall picture - embedded in the natural surroundings. The project was coordinated and implemented in close cooperation with Neue Wiener Werkstätte, which ensured that all planning and implementation steps ran efficiently and smoothly. The result is a place that offers guests comfort - and a new identity for the hotel.
